Day 4 of Year 5 and 6's residential

Whole School Year 5 Year 6

21 May 2015

Today, my teacher woke me up at 7:30 am!!! Unfortunately, because we woke up rather late, NO SHOWERS. Breakfast was as usual. First corn flakes and then baked beans, scrambled eggs and toast. It was delicious. Then our first activity was maps orienteering. On the expedition we saw one of the very rare walking trees from the “Lord of the Rings“ film! Also on the trip we had to plot grid references on the map that we owned. Then we walked back to Hooke court and came a bit late for lunch. Our next activity was to build a cargo bridge over river.  It was challenging but in the end everyone managed it. Our last activity was night search and we had to rescue a plastic dummy called Steve. It was hilarious and creepy at the same time. The best part of the day though was the dinner. It was a burger, sausage, salad and potatoes in mayonnaise. It was scrumptious!!!!!!!!!!!
