NSPCC Cake Sale November

Whole School

12 November 2015

Mr Mc Auley's second charity cake sale on Friday 6th November brought in a fantastic total of £150.00.

The money was raised for The NSPCC,  the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK

Goodies on offer included cookies, cupcakes, chocolate brownies, jam tarts and fairy cakes.

The NSPCC help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. They work with families when they're going through difficult times – like battling addiction or overcoming mental health problems. They offer all kinds of support – from helping new parents care for their baby to giving professionals the tools they need to assess neglect.

They're visiting primary schools and helping children understand what abuse is and giving them the confidence to speak out and seek help if they ever need it.

They're helping parents keep their children safe through campaigns like the Underwear Rule and Share Aware.
